• All interconnected BGP routers on the Internet will see our announcements – so be careful or you'll mess up lots of people!

• Routers outside our AS will send packets to us using the shortest AS-path, regardless of how many actual router hops are required to make the journey.

• This policy can be modified with local-preference, “path stuffing” (prepending).
